    Boys Room

    Boy’s Room – Sukoon

Boy's Room of Sukoon - conteporary design, black and white, study area, single bed, dressing mirror, black computer table, black bookshelves, grey upholstered headboard, teen bedroom, wood floor, white brick wall

Cool, calm and quietly confident — the Boy’s Room of Sukoon was designed with a vibe that’s minimal, functional, and just a little bit grown up.

    Boy’s Room – Phoenix

Boy's Bedroom of Phoenix - white brick wall, modern vintage, contemporary, upholstered headboard on pegs, poster gallery wall, wooden wardrobes with black metal handles

Just off the dining area, we have the boy’s room of Phoenix. It strikes a seamless balance between style and substance. There’s a deliberate calmness in the palette—earthy, muted, masculine—but the room still feels youthful and lived-in.

Boy's room of Shway - upholstered headboard, black and gold wall sconce, bedside table, white wardrobe

Finally, we get to the last bedroom of this home, the boy’s room of ‘Shway’. This room belongs to a young man in college, so ‘boy’ is probably not the right way to describe it. But along with all the

    🏆 Best of Houzz 2018 - 2022: Design & Service

A bedroom where softness comes from the details. A bedroom where softness comes from the details.

• A textured upholstered headboard adds warmth without making the room feel heavy
• Sage green bedding keeps the palette calm
• Dusty rose brings in just enough colour
• The floral wardrobe panels add another layer of pattern, while the wood frame keeps them grounded
• Small botanical artworks above the bed echo the floral language without competing with it

We kept the larger surfaces quiet and let the patterns, textures and warm wood tones do the talking.

The result is layered, relaxed and a little old-world — without feeling overly traditional.

The living and dining of Vahaal are where the home The living and dining of Vahaal are where the home truly comes to life. Every material, colour and handcrafted detail creates a home that quietly celebrates the family’s roots while feeling perfectly at home in present-day Mumbai.

Wooden ceiling beams bring warmth overhead, a handcrafted swing bridges the living and dining spaces, and a mix of contemporary and traditional furniture gives the room its character.

This gorgeus space is live on the blog today. Click link in bio to explore the details.

Sideboards: because apparently every dining room n Sideboards: because apparently every dining room needs one piece of furniture whose main job is to quietly hide all the things we don’t want on display.

And yet, they can do so much more:

• Extra storage, without making the room feel bulky
• A surface for art, lamps, books — and the occasional bowl of something decorative
• A chance to bring in a different material, colour or texture
• The perfect spot to make a little styling statement

Some are subtle. Some are sculptural. Some are doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

These are our favourites. Which one is yours?

When I asked our client what she’d like to see on When I asked our client what she’d like to see on the foyer ceiling, her answer was simple: a monastery vibe.

We loved the idea, but there was one little challenge. This ceiling had to feel peaceful and contemplative, while still belonging to the colourful, layered world of Vahaal.

So we took that feeling and interpreted it in our own way. Rich earthy tones, intricate geometric patterns and a warm brass chandelier come together to create a ceiling that feels almost meditative, but still carries the character of the home.

Sometimes the most interesting design ideas start with just three words: “I want this.” 🤍

A room that has to do a little bit of everything — A room that has to do a little bit of everything — work, read, watch, lounge… and apparently supervise the cat.

The brief here was to bring study and entertainment together without making the room feel like an office.

• A full-height walnut unit combines the TV, bookshelves, storage and a compact work desk
• The deep teal backdrop gives the joinery some depth and makes the warm wood stand out
• Open shelves keep the unit from feeling too heavy and give all those books a starring role
• A vintage-style upholstered chair adds a softer, more collected note
• Layered curtains filter the daylight and make the room feel cosy when it’s time to switch from work mode to movie mode

And the best part? Everything has its place, but the room still feels like a living space rather than a piece of cabinetry.

Every home has a story. Some begin with a floor pl Every home has a story. Some begin with a floor plan. Others begin with a feeling. Vahaal is one of those homes.

It was gifted to our client by her late father. The interiors, in turn, were lovingly commissioned by her brother. Before we even picked a colour palette or sketched the first layout, this home was already wrapped in love. Designing it was simply our way of carrying that story forward.

Some places feel like home the very first time you step inside...
Vahaal is exactly that.
Some people feel like home even though you’ve only just met them...
@riddhi_biren_savla and @rishitsavla are exactly that.

This home is warm, personal and full of little stories. And perhaps that’s what makes it feel like home.

I can’t wait to take you through it...
Welcome to Vahaal. 🤍

those who take their shoes off at the door… and those who somehow manage to leave them everywhere else. 😂

So, here’s to shoe storage that keeps the foyer looking considerably more civilised.

A few of our favourite ways to tuck the footwear away — from sleek and minimal to storage that makes a feature of itself.

A girls’ room that gets its warmth from mixing mat A girls’ room that gets its warmth from mixing materials, not matching everything.

• White wardrobes keep the room light and airy
• Warm wood on the bed and bedside table adds depth
• Soft peaches bring a gentle, playful layer
• Greens from the tropical mural add freshness and contrast
• Woven textures and fabric details keep all those colours feeling cosy rather than busy

The mix of wood + fabric + painted finishes + pattern is what gives this room its warmth. Nothing feels too polished, and nothing feels too precious — which is exactly what a girl’s room should be.
