After the warmth and energy of the living spaces, the master bedroom of Vahaal settles into a calmer rhythm. Soft colours, natural materials and thoughtfully layered textures come together to create a retreat that’s equal parts elegant and inviting.

Master Bedroom of Vahaal
The layout of the master bedroom is uncomplicated, making the most of every square foot. As you enter, the bed naturally takes centre stage, framed by bedside tables on either side. Opposite it, a chest of drawers doubles up as the TV unit, keeping the room functional without adding unnecessary furniture.
Running along the window, a full-length window seat creates the perfect spot to read, sip a morning coffee or simply enjoy the view. A discreet door beside the entrance leads into the walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom, This keeps the more practical spaces tucked away while the bedroom itself remains calm, open and uncluttered.

Stepping Inside
Tucked beside the dining area’s bar corner, the entrance to the master bedroom feels almost tucked away from the bustle of the home. Step through the door, and the mood changes instantly. The warm wood tones continue, while the green that has quietly woven its way through the home takes centre stage here. The brighter accents fade away, making room for a quieter, more restful retreat.

The bed sits directly ahead, becoming the natural focal point the moment you enter. It is a simple, uncluttered view that sets the tone for the rest of the room, where every element has been chosen to make the space feel restful rather than busy.

A Seat With a View
Running along the entire length of the window is a built-in window seat, turning an otherwise unused corner into one of the room’s favourite spots. Whether it’s a quiet morning with a cup of coffee, an afternoon lost in a book, or simply a moment to pause, it offers a place to slow down.

And with views stretching across the Mumbai skyline, it’s hard to resist lingering just a little longer.

From Corner To Corner
The window seat extends across the full width of the room, creating a strong horizontal line that ties the layout together. Concealed drawers below make the most of the available space.

At the opposite end, a chest of drawers doubles as the TV unit.
It’s a simple combination that keeps the room functional without ever feeling crowded.

Calm, Layer by Layer
There’s nothing loud about this bedroom, yet it never feels plain. Layers of green, warm walnut, woven textures and soft fabrics come together to create a space that feels calm from the moment you walk in.

The wallpaper adds character without demanding attention. The upholstered headboard softens the space.

The delicate pendant lights frame the bed like quiet pieces of jewellery. Every element plays its part, but none tries to steal the show.

Grounded in Green
The green doesn’t stop at the walls. It flows right down to the floor through the custom rug, carrying both the colour and the geometric rhythm of the wallpaper across the room. It quietly anchors the bed while adding another layer of softness underfoot.

But there’s a detail hiding in plain sight.
Since this is a storage bed, a regular rug tucked underneath would have been trapped there permanently. Unlike a bed with legs, you can’t simply slide the rug out when it’s time for a deep clean or a wash. So instead, we designed a custom U-shaped rug that wraps neatly around the bed. It gives the room the look of a full-sized rug while remaining easy to remove whenever needed.
It’s a small detail, but one that makes everyday living just that little bit easier. Good design isn’t just about how a home looks on day one. It’s about thinking through how it will be lived in, cleaned, and enjoyed for years to come.
Before → After | The Bed Wall
From a bare concrete wall to the heart of the bedroom.

The bed wall became the room’s defining feature with a geometric green wallpaper that brings both colour and texture without overwhelming the space. A deep green panel grounds the composition, while the headboard softens it with warmth and texture.
The pendant lights replace the need for table lamps, freeing up the bedside tables while framing the bed with a gentle symmetry. Every layer has a purpose, yet together they feel effortless.
The transformation isn’t loud. It’s simply enough to make the room feel complete.

Before → After | The Bed Wall
A blank concrete wall gave us a clean slate.

A chest of drawers provides generous storage while doubling as the TV unit, leaving the rest of the wall open and uncluttered. Beside it, a tall indoor plant softens the corner and brings another layer of greenery into the room.
The window seat continues seamlessly to this end of the room, visually connecting the two sides while making the most of the full width of the window.

The Little Things
The beauty of a room isn’t always in its biggest gestures. Sometimes, it’s tucked away in the details.
The tiny inlay motifs in the flooring quietly continue from the living room into the master bedroom of Vahaal. They create a subtle thread that ties the spaces together. The greenery softens the warm wood.

The pleated pendants cast a gentle glow. Nothing here demands attention. But together, every detail makes the room feel complete.

As the rest of the home celebrates colour, craft and conversation, the master bedroom quietly changes the pace. It’s a place to exhale, recharge, and begin again the next morning.
