    Study – Vrindavan

Study of Vrindavan - emerald green wall, teak wood study table, library bookshelves, entertainment unit, vintage traditional study chair

From bedrooms to books, from soft landings to sharp focus. Today we’ll walk through the study of Vrindavan. It is that in-between space where productivity meets personality. A room that quietly says “let’s get things done” but also whispers “stay

    Guest Room – Mio

Guest Room of Mio - yellow and blush, study cum guest room, wicker shutters, round rug, round inlay coffee table, study table, wicker study chair, sectional sofa cum bed

A guest room that moonlights as a study—because why should any space settle for just one role? The guest room of Mio is a bit of a multitasker—the overachiever, if you will.

    Guest Room – Daastan

Guest room of Daastan - blue and beige walls, TV unit with backlit bookshelves and study table

The guest room of Daastan is one of my favourite spaces in this gorgeous home. In a home that is bursting with colour, we did colour in this room in a completely different way. I would say this room is saturated

A study table doesn’t have to come with a wall ful A study table doesn’t have to come with a wall full of cabinetry. Sometimes four legs, a good chair and a little breathing room are all you need to get down to business.

These are a few of our favourite loose study set-ups. Which one is yours?

A balcony that takes the phrase “bring the outdoor A balcony that takes the phrase “bring the outdoors in” and decides to reverse it. 🌿

This little urban corner was designed to feel more like a garden room than a balcony.

- A full vertical plant wall turns a blank end wall into a living backdrop
- A floor and a ceiling that look like warm wood bring in plenty of warmth
- Cane furniture keeps the seating light, relaxed and wonderfully balcony-friendly
- The string lights add a cosy glow once the sun goes down
- And with all that greenery around, the city view suddenly feels a little less… city.

Basically, a tiny holiday destination — without the airport queue.

Swipe 👈🏻 for a closer look.

- A generous live edge dining table keeps the setting warm and grounded
- Floral upholstered chairs bring pattern without making the space feel busy
- A long upholstered bench adds a more relaxed note — and a few extra seats never hurt
- The cluster of glass-and-brass pendants is the real showstopper, adding a lovely bit of sparkle overhead
- And the carved wall art brings in just the right amount of old-world Indian character

From the living room, it reads as part of the larger space. Up close, it has plenty of its own personality.

From raw shell to a foyer with a little more drama.

- The bare shell became a layered foyer with a strong sense of arrival
- A warm mustard colour wainscoting brings energy into the space
- Traditional detailing — from the carved timber door to the patterned floor border — adds a distinctly Indian character
- And the kitchen entrance is now part of the composition, rather than simply another doorway

This kitchen got a full rethink — in both form and function.

- We changed the ‘L’ shaped counter to a parallel counter on the opposite wall giving much more usable space.
- The dark cabinetry made the space feel heavier than it needed to, so we introduced lighter finishes to bounce around the natural light
- A terrazzo-style counter brings texture without overwhelming the room
- The backsplash keeps things understated, while the subtle 3D pattern adds interest

Same footprint. A very different experience.

From a makeshift study corner to a room made for her. ✨

* The desk now has a proper built-in home, with storage above and a pegboard for the things she actually needs
* The wardrobe gets a complete makeover, with a playful botanical finish on the shutters
* Warm wood keeps the room feeling cosy, while the soft neutrals stop it from becoming too sweet
* A comfortable upholstered chair makes the study nook feel like part of the room, rather than an afterthought
* And a few framed music posters bring in the personality

Same room. Very different brief.
