    🏆 Best of Houzz 2018 - 2022: Design & Service

The best rooms don’t always have four walls. 🌿 Ba The best rooms don’t always have four walls. 🌿

Balconies, terraces, little outdoor corners — basically, the spaces we all claim we’ll use every morning.

A few of our favourites for making the outdoors feel a little more like home.

These are our favourites. Which one is yours?

From laundry-day chaos to a room that feels like it belongs to a girl. 💕

* The wardrobe gets a complete rethink, with a mix of crisp white shutters and warm wood drawers
* Plenty of drawer storage keeps the everyday clutter out of sight
* Soft pink and cream replace the heavy blue wall with a much lighter mood
* A scalloped border adds a playful little detail
* And the whole room feels brighter, softer and much more her

One room, two jobs — and now it actually looks the part.

* The wardrobe becomes a more considered piece, with a warm wood finish and wicker shutters
* A proper work zone fits neatly into the layout
* The sofa-cum-bed turns the room into a comfortable guest space when needed
* And the gallery wall adds a bit of personality — because a study doesn’t have to look like an office

Study by day. Guest room when required. Much more fun all round.

From “just a bedroom” to a room with a point of view.

* A botanical wallpaper brings the whole wall to life
* A soft, upholstered bed adds a calmer layer
* Rattan bedside tables bring in warmth and texture
* Terracotta and sage accents pick up colours from the wallpaper

And suddenly, the room feels much more considered — without feeling overdone
Same room. Very different mood.

Wardrobes have commitment issues. 😄 Paint, veneer Wardrobes have commitment issues. 😄

Paint, veneer, glass, cane, fluted finishes, fabric-look shutters… there are quite a few ways to dress up a wardrobe.

We’ve rounded up some of our favourites — because sometimes the wardrobe deserves a little more than “make it white.”

These are our favourites. Which one is yours?

• Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes made every inch work harder.
• Soft sage, blush and ivory replaced the visual noise of mismatched pieces.
• Layered textiles and gentle patterns added warmth without overwhelming the room.
• A cosy reading chair turned an unused corner into the perfect spot to unwind.

All we did was give this room a little more purpose—and a lot more personality!

Some living rooms are designed for entertaining.

This one is designed for lingering.

• A warm, earthy palette that feels cosy without becoming dark.
• The window seat naturally draws your eye outdoors—and doubles up as the favourite spot in the house.
• Plants soften every corner and bring a little life indoors.
• Pattern is used in small doses, letting the rug quietly become the room’s focal point.

Nothing shouts for attention, yet everything works together to create a space that’s easy to come home to.

The biggest change wasn’t adding more.
It was choosing pieces that worked together.

• A bespoke TV unit brought in storage and warmth.
• Soft blush tones balanced the rich walnut finishes.
• Plants, textiles and layered textures made the room feel welcoming.
• Every piece now has a purpose—and the clutter finally has a home.

Sometimes all a room needs isn’t more square footage... just a better plan.
