And now, for the last two spaces of this home.. the bathrooms of Vahaal! The home has two bathrooms, each with its own look and personality. One is attached to the master bedroom and its walk-in wardrobe, while the other serves the study, doubling up as the guest bathroom when needed.

Both carry forward the home’s love for green, but in very different ways. Let’s step inside and take a closer look.

Two Spaces, One Easy Transition

The master bedroom opens into a small lobby, with the walk-in wardrobe on one side and the master bathroom on the other. This arrangement gives both spaces easy to access without one becoming a thoroughfare for the other.

The walk-in wardrobe makes good use of its footprint, with storage running along two walls in an L-shaped layout. This gives us generous hanging and storage space while keeping the centre open and easy to move around in.

The bathroom follows a simple, practical arrangement. The vanity sits closest to the entrance, followed by the WC, with the shower area tucked away at the far end. Keeping the shower separate makes the bathroom easier to use, while giving each zone its own place.

It’s a straightforward layout, but one that makes the most of the available space and keeps the everyday routine comfortable.

Storage That Works Hard

The wardrobe is designed with a combination of hanging space and storage. Behind the shutters, there’s room for clothes on hangers, along with closed drawers for items we’d rather keep tucked away.

At the bottom, we’ve added external drawers that are easy to access without having to open the wardrobe shutters. It’s a small detail that makes everyday use more convenient, keeping frequently used things within easy reach while making the most of the available storage.

Framed in Tradition

The wardrobe turns the corner in an L-shaped layout, making sure not a bit of that corner space goes to waste. The finish is where things get interesting.

Instead of plain wooden shutters, we used wallpaper featuring traditional motifs, framed within custom wooden mouldings. The little floral patterns bring in a lovely reference to Indian craft, while the rich walnut finish around them gives the wardrobe a warm, almost vintage feel.

A Dressing Spot, Cleverly Tucked Away

The other side is just as useful. Here, a full-length mirror is paired with a compact dressing unit, making the most of what could otherwise have been an awkward corner.

And there’s a clever little surprise hidden behind the wooden panel. Open it up and you’ll find shelves for everyday essentials, while a pull-out tray below creates a handy surface to use while getting ready. When not in use, everything folds away neatly, keeping the space looking clean and uncluttered.

It’s a dressing unit that doesn’t take up extra room, but still gives you everything you need.

A Bathroom with a Little Drama

Step past the dressing area, and the master bathroom makes quite an entrance of its own.

Deep green tiles cover the walls, bringing in a rich, moody feel that contrasts beautifully with the lighter patterned flooring. A decorative tile border runs around the room, tying the walls and floor together while adding a lovely vintage touch. We kept the shower enclosure in clear glass, so the pattern and colour remain visible throughout rather than being broken up by a bulky partition.

And then there’s the door that leads to the duct area. It brings in plenty of natural light, giving the darker palette a lovely balance. The result is a bathroom that’s full of character, without feeling too dark or overwhelming.

A Mirror That Makes a Statement

The basin area keeps the same rich green palette, but there’s a lovely contrast in the details. The simple, light-coloured vanity gives the eye a little breathing room, while the brass fittings and vintage-style cabinet handles add warmth and character.

The countertop doesn’t stop at the vanity. It continues across the ledge above the WC, creating the impression of one larger counter while giving us some extra surface space. A small detail, but a rather useful one!

The real showstopper, though, is the oversized mirror with its warm backlighting. It frames the basin beautifully, reflects the green tiles all around it and adds a lovely glow to the space. We also carried the decorative tile border right across the vanity wall, so it feels like a continuation of the bathroom rather than a separate feature.

A little bit of vintage charm, a little bit of drama, and plenty of personality.

Clever Storage, Right Where You Need It

A closer look at the shower area reveals another little detail that makes this bathroom work harder. The ledge wall that runs alongside the WC continues into the shower, and we’ve used the space within it to create built-in niches for shampoos, soaps and other shower essentials.

It keeps everything within easy reach without adding shelves or racks that would take away from the clean lines of the space. The glass shower partition keeps the area feeling open, while the brass detailing adds a warm touch against the deep green tiles.

Even in a small bathroom, there’s always room to squeeze in a clever storage idea!

One Door, Two Spaces

Here’s another little space-saving detail we love. Since the bathroom is compact, we didn’t add a separate door between the bathroom and the walk-in wardrobe. The common door between the two spaces serves as the bathroom door too. Shut the door and the entire bathroom along with the walk-in becomes your private space.

The Study / Guest Bathroom

The second of the two bathrooms of Vahaal serves the study, which also doubles up as a guest room. Unlike the master bathroom, which has its own rich and moody character, this one turns up the drama even further. After all, the guests deserve a little wow moment too!

The layout makes the most of the available space, with the shower area on one side, the WC in the centre and the basin counter along the opposite wall. Keeping the three zones neatly arranged makes the bathroom comfortable to use without feeling cramped.

Let’s take a closer look at how we brought this little bathroom to life.

A Vanity That Steals the Show

Now this is where the guest bathroom really turns up the drama!

The first thing that catches your eye are the lantern tile in gorgeous shades of green. With its unusual shape and contrasting grout lines, it creates a lovely pattern that wraps around the entire vanity area. Against this rich backdrop, we chose a warm walnut counter with generous drawer storage, finished with beautiful vintage-style brass knobs.

The basin adds another layer of detail. Its hand-painted pattern picks up the green from the walls, while the curvy, scalloped mirror brings in a touch of old-world charm. And just when you think there’s enough going on, a glass pendant light adds a little sparkle overhead.

It’s a lot of detail, but somehow it all comes together. This bathroom certainly isn’t shy about making an impression! 😄

A Little Secret Behind the Drawers

Remember the clever dishwasher provision we talked about in the kitchen? Here’s where the story comes together!

The right-hand set of drawers on this vanity is actually a clever disguise. They aren’t real drawers at all. Behind the decorative fronts is a plywood partition, concealing the dishwasher from the kitchen on the other side.

So what looks like additional vanity storage is actually making room for an appliance without eating into the kitchen’s already limited space. A rather unexpected use of the bathroom vanity, wouldn’t you say?

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes details that you would never guess just by looking at the finished space. 😄

A Basin with Character

The basin is quite the little showstopper here! We chose a handcrafted ceramic vessel basin with an intricate pattern in shades of green and turquoise. It picks up the colours of the wall tiles beautifully, while adding another layer of detail to the vanity.

And take a look at that tap! Instead of opting for a standard modern fitting, we went with a vintage-style brass tap. Its old-world charm sits perfectly against the patterned basin and rich wooden counter.

It’s these little combinations that give this bathroom its personality.

Bathrooms of Vahaal

And that’s the two bathrooms of Vahaal. The master bathroom takes a more relaxed route, with earthy greens, soft patterned details and warm finishes that make it feel like a little retreat. The guest bathroom, on the other hand, isn’t shy about making a statement. With its bold green tiles, ornate mirror and vintage-inspired details, it’s all drama from the moment you walk in.

They’re quite different in mood, but both carry the same threads that run through the rest of Vahaal: rich greens, warm wood, traditional patterns and a love for details that have a story to tell.

.

And with that, we’ve explored every corner of Vahaal! From the entrance to the bedrooms, the living spaces to the bathrooms, every room has had its own personality, while still feeling part of the same home.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this little walk through Vahaal as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing it to life.
