Now let’s step into the girl’s room of Mio. Here homework and daydreams happily share the same desk! From the candy-cute floral headboard to the pegboard full of pens, plants, and doodads, this little haven balances study time with story time. It’s equal parts sweet, smart, and just a little bit whimsical—kind of like its young occupant.

The Layout
Every great story needs a stage, and this little girl’s room sets it perfectly. At just under 11 by 10 feet, the layout is compact but oh-so-clever. The single bed tucks neatly along one wall, leaving enough breathing space in the center for play, dance, or just sprawling with a book and giggles.
On one side sits the hardworking study table—paired with a smart wardrobe, it’s both brain and brawn of the room. Books, supplies, and little treasures find their spot without crowding her style. Opposite, another wardrobe and bookshelf combo adds to the storage story (because let’s face it, kids always have more stuff than we think!).
A full-length mirror by the bookshelf adds just the right amount of charm—perfect for dress-up moments or a quick hair check before school. The whole layout is designed to flow around her day: study, sleep, play, repeat.

Study and Wardrobe
If there’s one corner of this room that perfectly balances fun with functionality, it’s this study-and-wardrobe duo.
The desk is a neat little command center—perfect for homework marathons, doodle breaks, or stashing away secret chocolate supplies in those handy drawers. The pegboard above is a star in its own right: hooks, buckets, shelves—it’s basically a playground for stationery, ensuring no pen, eraser, or quirky trinket ever goes missing.

Upper cabinets float above, giving her all the extra storage she needs without weighing down the room.
And then there’s the wardrobe—no boring slabs here! Instead, she gets a piece of art every time she reaches for her clothes. The soft abstract botanical print feels fresh and lively, almost like a mural. It’s a little grown-up, a little playful—exactly what a girl’s room needs to grow with her. The subtle wood trims tie it all back to the rest of the home, but the leafy pattern whispers, “This one’s mine.”

And just when you think it couldn’t get smarter—there’s a pull-out tray tucked below the desk for the printer. Roll it out when it’s time to print, slide it back in when you’re done. Easy, breezy, clutter-free.
The Platform Bed
Tucked neatly to the left of the study, her platform bed is as hardworking as it is pretty. At first glance, it’s all about that dreamy arched headboard—upholstered in soft blue with whimsical florals and fluttering birds, a little fairytale moment right in the room.
But look closer, and you’ll see how smartly it’s built: drawers below the mattress slide out to hide away extra bedding, toys, or those “I’ll-clean-it-later” piles every kiddo has.

It’s compact, clever, and oh-so-charming—perfect for curling up with a book, pulling out secret stashes, or just daydreaming under the soft light streaming through the window.

Dressing and Wardrobe
At the foot of the bed, function and fun collide. On one side, her second wardrobe shows off the whimsical, nature-inspired print, matching her first wardrobe. Tucked right beside it, open bookshelves are stacked with her favorites—stories, adventures, and just enough space left over for a little greenery.

The full-length mirror makes this corner double up as a dressing nook, with a sweet pouffe tucked below for comfort. And those steps leading up to the platform bed? They’re not just for climbing—the storage drawers tucked below are sneaky but so practical. They make perfect storage for her dressing paraphernalia, don’t they?
The mirror stretches alongside, not just for dressing up but also for bouncing light around the space, making the compact room feel brighter and bigger. And when the lights come on? The shelves glow softly with concealed LEDs, turning this little nook into a stage — perfect dressing light, perfect reading corner, and just plain pretty.

The Glow
By day, this room is all sunshine and soft pastels—fresh, airy, and brimming with cheerful energy.
But come evening, it flips a switch (literally!) and turns into something else entirely. The concealed LED strips under the shelves wrap the study in a golden halo, while the twinkly tree lamp by the bed whispers a soft lullaby of light.

Suddenly, the pegboard, books, and headboard all glow like they’re part of a fairytale set. It’s a room that knows how to keep up with her—bright and bubbly when it’s time to learn, warm and whimsical when it’s time to dream.

Girl’s Room of Mio
This room is all about striking that perfect balance between fun and calm. She wanted a blue room—so that became our base. Soft powder blues flow through her bedspread, cushions, and the prettiest upholstered headboard sprinkled with blush florals. And because this is Mio, cherry blossom blush had to make an appearance—woven in through prints, accents, and delicate details.

Textures play a quiet but important role here. Smooth lacquered wardrobes get a lift from that bold, botanical print in muted blush and bluey-greens. The wooden trims add warmth, grounding the palette, while the fabrics bring in a soft, tactile coziness.

Prints and patterns are playful, but never loud: the round rug with its vintage-inspired motifs, the floral quilt, the gentle geometrics of her pendant light—all layering together to give the space charm and character.

The vibe? Breezy, cheerful, and just a little magical. It’s a room that feels youthful without being childish, soft without being sugary—a perfect reflection of her personality, and a seamless extension of Mio’s cherry blossom story.

Before and Afters
From window wall to study nook to dressing corner, every before-and-after tells the same story. The girl’s room of Mio, once plain and practical, now blooming with personality, colour, and charm.
From Workstation to Dream Station
Before: A functional but underwhelming setup with heavy curtains and a makeshift work corner that didn’t really make the most of the natural light or the room’s potential.

After: A dreamy transformation with a cozy platform bed, soft blush-and-blue accents, sheer drapes that flood the space with light, and a setup that feels both playful and restful — just right for a young girl’s room.

When blank walls dream big
Before: Just a plain wall, doubling up as storage space and a temporary parking spot for odds and ends.

After: A cheerful study corner paired with a wardrobe dressed in soft, botanical prints—storage, style, and study time all rolled into one!

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall…
Before: Just a blank wall with a desk and chairs — functional, but a little joyless.

After: A full-length mirror with a pouf for dressing, shelves glowing with books and plants, and a wardrobe dressed in blush-and-blue florals. Now, it’s a corner that feels as stylish as it is practical!

And that’s a wrap on this blush-and-blue beauty! The girl’s room of Mio started as a spare, makeshift space. It is now a room that feels like her — dreamy, functional, and oh-so-fun. With clever storage tucked under steps and desks, glowing corners that light up her world, and colours that dance between Mio’s cherry blossom theme and her love for blue, this room is equal parts cozy hideaway and practical powerhouse.
It’s proof that even the smallest rooms can pack the biggest personality — with a little design magic (and a lot of love).
