We’re back with our 6 month update on all the latest items we have listed on our Amazon store front. As I had explained last time, the products I have listed here are those I have seen and used myself… either in my own home, or in a project I have worked on.

So let’s get straight to all the good products I’ve found on Amazon over the last few months.

Balcony & Garden

Most of my finds this time come under our balcony and garden section. And that shouldn’t come as a surprise, because you know how much I love that green space.

For a while, I had been looking for large sized planters for my ‘trees’. We have a fiddle leaf fig which is now taller than me, and a rubber plant which is gradually getting there. I planted both these in large plastic pots. Now, it’s impossible for me to lift them and put them in and out of decorative planters when I take them inside the home.

So when we got a baby ficus I thought I’d straight away plant it into a decorative planter which would work within and outside the home. I found this large planter on Amazon that fits the bill perfectly.

What you see here is a 17″ round, stone finish fibre planter. The size is big enough to house a full grown ficus. The fibre makes it really light, while the stone finish means it looks great indoors too. You can see my newest green baby planted in it just a couple of weeks back. You’ll definitely be seeing more of this baby around my home.

The other piece I found on Amazon was this pretty wall planter made of metal. I’m sure you remember this from our black and white kitchen reveal. It’s large, yet delicate and would look great on a balcony or entrance wall too.

For Our Sparrows

If you are connected with me on Instagram, you’ll remember this..

One day we realised we had a nest of baby sparrows in our balcony. That turned on my maternal instincts… and that of my entire family. We suddenly had to make sure the baby sparrows had enough to eat and fresh water to drink.

I found this simple feeder bowl on Amazon. It comes with a hook which you can mount on to any rod or railing.

But, as you can see, my balcony railing has a very thick rod. The hook was too small to fit around that. I didn’t want to hang it on the glass for obvious safety reasons. So I tied a string tight across two clamps on the railing, and the bowl hangs very easily on that.

Food was taken care of by this bird feeder. We hung it from the grill on our balcony ceiling. It’s very easy to refill and the sparrows love this bird food that we have put into it.

I also noticed how the little sparrows would come and perch on the strings of fairy lights we have hanging in the balcony. So we got them that pretty bird swing you see hanging right next to the feeder.

It started with a sparrow or two, and now we wake up to a cacophony of chirping birds every morning.  We have a steady stream of visitors all through the day, and then again a whole lot of feathered guests every evening for tea. Having grown up mostly in Mumbai, this is the closest I’ve ever come to having a garden. And I can’t begin to describe how happy these little birds make me every day.

Furnishings

Next, we have some new additions to the furnishings section of our Amazon store. We used these for our guest room makeover that you have seen here on the blog. A lot of the beautiful bedding you see in this picture was sourced from Amazon and is now availble on our store.

This includes the beautiful blue and white floral printed quilt. The soft colours and the intricate pattern make this one of my favourites.

The white double bedsheet with pillow covers is also available in our store. I like how the smaller sized, soft pattern allows for bolder, brighter patterns to be used with it. It makes a great base to build on.

Decorative Accents & Fittings

We’ve added a couple of clocks to our decorative accents and fittings section.

The first one you saw in our boho living room makeover. It’s a beautiful, big wall clock in an intricately designed antique metal finish. It adds a whole lot of character of it’s own to a wall and you don’t need much else to go along with it.

The second is this beautiful blue and gold clock from our haveli style living room that we will soon reveal on the blog. The exquisite blue and gold painting reminds me of meena work that we see on jewelry. It is another stunning piece that can replace the need for artwork on the wall.

Bath, Electrical & Functional Fittings

And finally, we end with a very functional product from our bath section. This tabletop magnifying mirror we’ve finally invested in. After using a couple of wall mirrors which continued to become lose and finally break off after repeated use over months, I became tired of replacing them. We got this tabletop mirror instead which is easy to put away and easy to carry around and use wherever we please.
