A full twelve months later and we’re back with our wallpaper round up 2019.
We started this series last year, listing out all the wallpapers we had used in all our projects in one single post. We showed you all our selections, exactly where and how we had used them, along with links and details as to where you can find each one. In case you missed that post, click here to catch up on all our previously used wallpapers.
Wallpaper Round Up 2019
It’s been a year since then and we still love wallpapers. We use all kinds. We use them in different ways. And we use them often.
They allow us to add colour, texture and pattern in the blink of an eye. They give flight to our imagination so we can create flower gardens or tropical jungles, all in the same space.
And so here we are with our wallpaper round up 2019. These are all the wallpapers we have used over the last year, all in this one post.
(1) The Grey Lines by Wallskin
We used these beautiful grey stripes on our breakfast counter wall which we literally created out of nothing. This was actually the entrance to this kitchen, which we blocked off to create space for this cozy breakfast nook.
Considering that we didn’t change any of the counters and wall tiles in the rest of this kitchen, it was these simple stripes that completely glammed up this otherwise modest space.
You can see the rest of this kitchen transformation here.

(2) Bougainville Spectabilis by India Circus
If I hadn’t designed this bedroom myself, I would seriously doubt that it’s real. It looks like something out of a dream and that is largely because of this stunning wallpaper.
The hanging lanterns amongst the bunches of flowers and the evening sky peeking through the trellis is the palace walls transport you to another time and place which is far away from the mad rush called life.

(3) Frozen by Disney
We were looking to make a blue room for a 6 year old girl. This pretty wallpaper from the ‘Frozen’ series came to our rescue. Frozen is about princesses, snow flakes all things girly girl… in blue!
Not only did it help to prettify this rental space, it also gave us our colour scheme for this room.

(4) Pastel Floral by Style My Space
This pretty floral wallpaper in pastel colours helped set the mood for this soft, sweet, parents’ bedroom.
We used it to break the monotony of this large, empty wall while keeping the mood gentle and soothing.

(5) Rain Dance by Nilaya
Sometimes the simplest things are the most stunning. Who would think a bunch of pencil drawn lines could look this spectacular!?
We wanted to add a soft pattern to that large wall. We needed the pattern to fit our black and white mood board and add interest to that wall without being overwhelming. This wallpaper fit the bill perfectly.

(6) Baby Leaves from Style My Space
This time we were looking for a wall covering for an entire wall in a baby’s room. This time, we also wanted to pick the colours off the wallpaper for the furniture. Notice how the open shelves you can see here are the exact same colour as the stems on the wallpaper?
We wanted pattern, we wanted colour, we wanted the whole wall and we wanted it to look all soft and very baby. Isn’t this wallpaper just perfect?

(7) Blue Paisley by Wallskin
The brief I got from my parents was to brighten up their living room. Make it bolder, vibrant and more colourful.
With all the paintings and accessories adding the colour, we couldn’t ALSO do a colourful wallpaper. That would have been a bit much. So the idea was to look for a bold wallpaper in a colour that would also work as a neutral base to all the colour around it.
Does that even make sense? When you see this wallpaper, you realise it does. The paisleys are eye catching and the blue goes with our gorgeous rug. Our wallpaper is bold on its own, yet timid when placed with all the other strong accents around it. It makes just the right base for them to shine on.

(8) Tropical Rain Forest by MakeUpWallDecor
We took the longest time ever to find this wallpaper for our modern tropical living room. We found forests that were too thick, we considered jungles with bright birds and animals and others with exotic flowers. Though they were all beautiful, they somehow didn’t seem right for this wall… until we found this one.
It’s the right amount of jungle with the right type of palm leaves in just the right shade of green. There are some things that make you smile whenever you see them, and this wallpaper is one such.
You can see our modern tropical living room makeover here.
We found this wallpaper on Etsy and it is now out of stock. But I am linking to the seller’s page, MakeUpWallDecor, because they have over a thousand other wallpaper designs, so many of which I love. I’ll have to design a few hundred rooms to use each one that has caught my eye. So click here to go to the seller’s page.. and maybe you can request them to make you this wallpaper too.
.
That brings us to the end of our wallpaper round up 2019. I’ve loved each one of these wallpapers and it’s difficult to choose one I like over the others. Do you have a favourite? If you had to pick any one, which would it be and where would you use it? Let me know in the comments below.
