We love sharing our work with you on this blog and our social media channels. And ever so often we get asked the sources for various items we have used in the makeovers. This inspired us to start our roundup series of posts. Last time we shared our seating roundup with you, and today it’s all about tables. Let’s begin our table roundup 2020.
Table Roundup 2020
As you can see from the image above, we’ll be talking about all kinds of tables here today. From coffee and end tables for your living room to dining and study tables, we’ve covered every kind of table we’ve used in our projects over the last year. Some of them aren’t available any more, but we thought by sharing our sources you would at least get an idea of where you can find similar furniture, if not the same.
1 – End Tables
Let’s start with the smallest and most versatile. An end table is a small table placed beside a sofa or other piece of furniture. We usually provide these close to any seating for convenience. They serve as a place to keep your glass of water, phone, book, or snack without having to get up all the time. They also give you place to keep a lamp, some decor or fresh flowers to help beautify your space.
Solid Wood Stool
One of my favourites is this solid block of acacia wood from our Modern Tropical Living Room. The natural look and finish goes beautifully with the tropical vibes of this space. And if you’re looking for something strong, stable and sturdy this table is the answer. It took three men to get it out of its packaging and it’s by far the heaviest end table I’ve ever laid my hands on. It will never accidentally move or get pushed over.

Florette Accent Table
Completely opposite in design and style from the one above, this table is everything classic and beautiful, and it fit in just perfectly into my parents’ living room. We loved the large size because it provides enough place for essentials and decor. Also, thanks to its height, it doesn’t get lost behind the arm of the sofa next to it. The delicate curves give it a timeless elegance that will never go out of style.

Clara Nest Of Tables
This beauty, with it’s delicate cutwork, was a charming addition to our Boho Living Room. We chose this table because it came as a set of two. We had a narrow space next to the sofa which would not fit in a large table. Yet we wanted enough space to keep that lamp, some decor and then the phone or glass of water if required.
A nest of tables works perfectly in such a situation. You can keep them one below the other and they take up little space. When required, you pull out the table below to give you more surface area.

Pair Of End Tables
Similar to the one above, this set of end tables came as a pair too. Since one is shorter than the other, they partially nest under each other, but the smaller does not completely fit under the bigger table. We loved the simplicity of the design and the beautiful wood finish of these.

2 – Coffee Tables
Next on our table roundup 2020, we move on to coffee tables. The low table you usually place in front of a sofa, for holding snack bowls, glasses, magazines, etc. is called a coffee table.
The first on our list is this pretty pair.
We had a relatively narrow space between the two opposite sofas in this living room but quite a distance between our window seat and the seating on the opposite side. And so we thought a pair of tables would work better than a single piece. They would provide the flexibility of being able to pull them apart towards the opposite ends if required.
That these came with a pretty pattern on them that completely fit in with our boho space was an added bonus.

Live Edge Coffee Table
This handsome coffee table was a no-brainer in our Modern Tropical Living Room. The rough, live edge finish and the solid black legs fit into our scheme of things quite perfectly.

3 – Sideboards & Units
These can be of various types, starting with simple consoles with a table surface to keep a few basics to crockery and TV units which can provide a whole lot of storage too.
Bone Inlay Crockery Unit
How can we not begin with this exquisite piece which is not just a storage unit, but a piece of art in itself. There wasn’t supposed to be any sideboard in this dining space, until the client saw this one and fell in love. How could we refuse to make space for this magnificence anyway?

Joss Wood Cabinet
This was another sideboard that we selected for its beauty as much as its function. Mandalas are often associated with boho decor and so we were very happy to find this cabinet for our boho living room.

Sienna Loft TV Unit
The clients were looking for a place to organise little things like medicines and sewing material in their bedroom. We thought a TV unit with drawers would double up well to serve both purposes. The fact that we could customise this to our size was an added bonus.

Kaws Display Unit
For this little girl’s room, we wanted a unit with open and closed storage, all of which would be easy for her to access herself. It had to be low in height and simple to use, and the Kaws unit was a great choice.
We got two such units and placed them on either side of her study table, giving her a good amount of table and storage space for her school and art and craft needs. Though originally it came as a unit with 4 open cubbies, we could customise it to add shutters on the lower cubbies to give us some closed storage too.
Though the polished finish and wood quality of all this furniture was great, the paint finish of this vendor wasn’t. I would suggest getting polished furniture only from this vendor.

4 – Study Tables
Next on our table roundup 2020, we come to study tables. We have a few full sized study tables here, and then some especially for children.
Jerome Study Table
You saw this simple table in our Pretty Pastel Bedroom last year. Since we didn’t have enough space, we swapped a bedside table with a study table that would double as both. It comes with a set of drawers on wheels that fits below it and can be pulled out easily when required.

Adolph Study Table
This table was just the right size to fit our little girl’s basic stationery in the drawer above and her school bag in the compartment below.
Though the polished finish and wood quality of all this furniture was great, the paint finish of this vendor wasn’t. I would suggest getting polished furniture only from this vendor.

Daffy Kids Table
We wanted a study and art space for this little girl that also allowed a friend or parent to join in when required. This small sized table and chair set was solid, sturdy and just the right size.

Dexter Kids Table
Our little girl here is extremely fond of art and craft and loves to have her friends over to join her at it. For this, we gave her this round table with some comfortable chairs in addition to her study table.
Though the polished finish and wood quality of all this furniture was great, the paint finish of this vendor wasn’t. I would suggest getting polished furniture only from this vendor.

5 – Bedside Tables
Bedside tables, just like the bed, play a big part in the design of a bedroom. So the choice of a bedside table can be a very important one.
Bone Inlay Side Tables
This black and white bedroom has a plain white bed headboard. This entire wall, and so this bedroom could have been plain and boring. Except that we got in these beautifully patterned bedside tables to liven things up.

Lomror Bedside Table
Because we used a study table on the other side of this bed, we had a really tiny space on this side for a bedside table. We couldn’t do without one though. As you can see, a bedside table is essential to keep your basic requirements within reach while you sleep. This little table fit in just perfectly into our little space and gave us enough space with that drawer and the open shelf.

6 – Dining Tables
We wrap up our table roundup 2020 with a couple of dining tables.
Live Edge Dining Table
We used a lot of natural elements and finishes in this living room to go with the tropical vibes here. The dining table was one such. The tropical wallpaper, the slatted wooden pendants, and a leather bench along the wall all worked with this live edge table to complete the look.

Genevieve Dining Table
Since we were going so bold on colour with our furnishings in this dining space, we wanted a muted finish on our dining table. This light wood finish worked beautifully with our set up here, and though you can’t see it clearly in this pic, we also loved the superbly carved legs of this piece.

Until next time,
Very very stylish collection Ritika. Most of all I loved the log look side table. It’s rustic and its trendy.
Thank you Rashi! 🙂
