A peek through the dining room doorway, and you catch a glimpse of the calm, composed heart of the home. The kitchen of Sukoon, was designed to feel just like the rest of the space—tidy, thoughtful, and full of quiet charm. Everything has a place, and every material was chosen to feel just right.

The Layout
At just a little over 7 by 9 feet, the kitchen at Sukoon is compact—but beautifully efficient. With a classic galley-style layout, we’ve kept all the action along two parallel counters. The sink and prep area are to the right. The hob and fridge are on the left.
A tall unit just near the entrance houses the built-in oven, microwave, and other appliances neatly. The fridge is placed conveniently on the opposite side. There’s plenty of counter space for cooking, but not a single inch wasted. Everything is right where you’d expect it, with just the right balance of function and flow.

The Cooking Zone
The cooking zone of the kitchen of Sukoon is compact, efficient, and thoughtfully laid out.
The hob sits right at the center of the counter, with plenty of prep space on either side. So whether you’re chopping veggies or plating up a meal, there’s room to move. The chimney above is seamlessly built into the overhead cabinetry, making sure ventilation is taken care of without disrupting the clean lines of the space.

Deep drawers below make it easy to grab your go-to pots, pans, and ladles without digging around. With the fridge tucked in just beside the counter, your cooking triangle—fridge, hob, and sink—stays tight and ergonomic.
It’s a setup that makes everyday cooking quicker, smoother, and honestly, a little more enjoyable.
The Cleaning Zone
This side of the kitchen is all about functionality—and it makes the most of every inch.
The sink sits snugly under the window, exactly where it should be, with ample counter space for prep and cleanup. Just beyond it, the counter runs into a tall unit that neatly tucks in the oven and microwave. This keeps bulky appliances off the counter and at an easy reach.

Below, we have many more drawers giving plenty more room for everyday essentials. Overhead cabinets provide additional storage for pantry items and crockery. Everything is close at hand, but nothing feels cramped.
This layout creates a smooth workflow from sink to prep to cooking zone—and that’s the secret to a kitchen that works with you, not against you.
The Kitchen of Sukoon – A Textural Treat
At first glance, this kitchen looks calm and composed — but look closer, and it’s a masterclass in contrast.
The lower cabinetry in a warm textured wood laminate brings a soft, earthy base to the room. Paired with sleek off-white PU shutters above, the space instantly feels lighter and more open — just what a compact kitchen needs.

We topped it off (literally) with a terrazzo-inspired quartz countertop, full of speckled personality. It not only adds visual texture but also ties together the neutral tones of the cabinets. The backsplash? A subtle 3D tile, lending depth without demanding attention.
And to anchor it all, a matte black hob and chimney stand out as striking silhouettes — graphic, functional, and a little bit bold.
Together, these finishes create a kitchen that’s contemporary, calm, and quietly confident — much like the home it belongs to.

Before and Afters
We love sharing these before-afters — not just for the drama, but to show what thoughtful design can do, even in the most overlooked corners of a home.
The Cleaning Chronicles
Before: This corner used to be all function, no flair — with dark finishes, limited storage, and a countertop that was always battling clutter.

After: It’s sleek, smart, and effortlessly organised. The upgraded sink zone has everything in its place. Drawers, tall units, and even a touch of natural light to make cleaning up a little less blah and a lot more ahh.

Cooking Zone: Reimagined
Before: The fridge sat awkwardly between the entry and the hob, visually separating the kitchen into two disconnected halves. Overhead cabinets were visually heavy, and the counter space felt choppy and limited. The clutter above the fridge and the dark finishes only added to the visual heaviness.

After: The refrigerator fits sleekly into its surrounding cabinetry, restoring symmetry and flow. The hob now sits centre-stage on a generous, uninterrupted counter with drawers below and a striking black chimney above. We wrapped the fridge nook with terrazzo and wood to visually anchor the tall unit and tie the palette together. Clean lines, pale finishes and efficient storage make this cooking zone functional and fresh.

And just like that—this compact kitchen got its groove back! Thoughtfully laid out, seamlessly finished, and full of quiet personality—this one’s a keeper.
We believe good design isn’t just about pretty spaces—it’s about making the everyday effortless. And when a kitchen works with you (not against you), you can feel the difference in every little task.
