And just like that… we drift into the guest room of Vrindavan. This is a space designed to feel instantly welcoming, gently layered, and quietly comforting. Think soft textures, warm wood, and a palette that whispers rather than shouts. A room that doesn’t try too hard, yet stays with you long after you’ve left.
Let’s step in.

Guest Room of Vrindavan | Small Room, Smart Moves
First things first… this guest room may not be massive, but it is mighty in planning. Every inch has a job. No freeloaders allowed.
The bed sits comfortably in the centre of the room, giving it star-of-the-show status (as it should). With side tables on both sides, guests get symmetry and a place to dump their phone, book, glasses, water bottle, and existential thoughts.
Right at the entry, we’ve tucked in wardrobes on either side of the door. Why? Because nothing says “welcome” like giving your guests a proper place to unpack instead of living out of a suitcase on the floor.
On the wall opposite the bed, we have a chest of drawers with a TV alongside. Translation: storage + entertainment = a very happy guest.

And the circulation? Easy, breezy, no obstacle course.
You can walk around the bed comfortably, open wardrobes without elbow battles, and move through the room without performing acrobatic stunts.
In short:
Simple layout. Clear zoning. Zero drama.
Exactly how a guest room should be. 🛏️✨
The First Impression Wall
As you step in, this wall quietly does a lot of heavy lifting.
(No drama. Just really good design. 💁🏻♀️)
A solid wooden chest of drawers anchors the composition. Warm, tactile, and timeless, it brings in that familiar comfort of real wood, while the little patterned knobs add just the right hint of charm. It’s practical storage, but dressed well enough to feel like furniture, not just cabinetry.

Above it, the show-stealer.
A soft circular niche carved into a gentle arch, holding a bespoke floral wallpaper motif that feels almost like a framed artwork… except it’s built into the architecture. The curve softens the wall, the florals add romance, and suddenly the room has a focal point that feels calm, considered, and quietly special.
Instead of centring everything on the TV, we’ve kept the TV in the centre of the room so it sits directly opposite the bed (because comfort-viewing matters). And the circular niche is placed to the side, almost like a quiet companion to the chest of drawers, creating its own little moment without competing for attention.
Together, they becomes a lovely little trio:
function (storage), feeling (art niche), and flexibility (TV).
Which is basically our favourite design equation. ✨

Old Soul, New Outfit
We also gave a much-loved old chest of drawers a second life in this room. The solid wood body was refreshed, and then elevated with handpicked tiles inlaid into the top surface and repeated in the drawer handles. It’s one of those small-but-mighty details that quietly ties the piece into the room’s palette, while keeping all its vintage charm intact. Sustainable, sentimental, and seriously good-looking. ✨

A Floral Thread That Ties It All Together
Flanking the bedroom door on either side, the wardrobe wall becomes more than just storage. It becomes a soft, story-telling surface. The wallpaper mural wraps the shutters in delicate florals and birds, creating a visual bridge between the TV wall on one side…

… and the bed wall on the other. Almost like a quiet connector, it ensures your eye travels seamlessly across the room, never hitting a dead end. Functional, yes. But also quietly poetic. Exactly our favourite kind of multitasking.

Soft Landing Zone
The bed wall quietly steals hearts. 💗
Running behind the bed is a full-length upholstered band that doubles up as a cushioned headboard, adding both comfort and a gentle layer of texture. It wraps the wall in a soft, tactile embrace, making the bed feel grounded and anchored within the space. Flanked by simple wooden side tables, this wall isn’t shouting for attention… it’s whispering “stay a little longer.”

Above it, a row of delicate framed artworks brings in just the right hint of personality, while the muted palette keeps things calm and guest-room appropriate. Basically, plush where it matters, pretty where it counts, and perfectly aligned with the wardrobe mural next door so everything feels like one happy, well-coordinated family. 😊

Soft Garden Palette & Gentle Layers
The guest room of Vrindavan lives in that delicious in-between where blush meets botanical and everything feels quietly romantic without trying too hard.
We started with a base of soft, milky neutrals, then slowly sprinkled in pinks, dusty greens and the faintest whisper of lavender. Not loud colour. Not shy colour. More like… colour that smiles politely and offers you tea. ☕🌸

The greens arrive through the quilt, the leafy motifs, and the trailing plants. Fresh, calming, quietly optimistic.
The pinks show up in the cushions, florals, artwork and mural panels. Warm, powdery, comforting.
And that hint of lavender slips in like a secret ingredient, adding softness without announcing itself.

Material-wise, it’s a layered love story:
-
Warm solid wood in the chest of drawers, side tables and wardrobe frames.
-
Upholstered textures along the bed wall that feel touchable and cocooning.
-
Wallpaper murals and prints bringing in painterly charm.
-
Soft fabrics and quilting that beg you to flop onto the bed immediately.
-
Little moments of brushed metal and ceramic for quiet sparkle.
Finishes stay intentionally gentle. Nothing glossy-shiny-diva. More matte, satin, and softly polished surfaces that bounce light in a calm, grown-up way.

Motif-wise, nature takes centre stage. Flowers, branches, birds, vines. Not in a literal forest sense. More like a nostalgic botanical illustration book that someone lovingly bookmarked.
And the overall vibe?
Peaceful. Cozy. Slightly nostalgic.
The kind of room that makes guests sleep better than they do at home and then pretend it was the mattress. 🌿😌
Basically… a soft garden, translated into a bedroom.
Before → After | The Bed Wall Transformation
Before: A raw, unfinished wall.

After: Today, this wall gently anchors the entire room. What was once a bare construction surface is now a warm, layered backdrop that holds the bed, the art, and the mood of the room together.
From bare shell → to a bedroom that feels personal, gentle, and truly lived in.
Not styled to impress.
Designed to belong. 🏡✨

Before & After | The Wardrobe Wall Transformation
Before: A bedroom door sitting to one side meant the room never quite knew where to “land.” The bed wall felt compromised, symmetry was missing, and the space had that very familiar under-construction identity crisis.

After: We rethought the entire geometry of the guest room of Vrindavan and made one powerful move: shifting the bedroom door to the centre. Instantly, everything clicked into place.
Now, the wardrobe wall wraps around the doorway on both sides, creating a beautifully balanced, symmetrical composition. Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes flank the door, and instead of feeling bulky, they’re dressed in a soft, hand-painted-style wallpaper mural that brings in birds, blossoms, and gentle movement. Think functional storage, but in couture.

Before → After | The TV Wall Glow-Up
Before: A raw, awkward offset in the wall. Exposed concrete.

After: We decided that if a wall already has an offset, it might as well have a moment.
So we transformed that recess into a soft, sculpted circular niche that feels architectural yet gentle. Inside it lives a bespoke floral motif, hand-picked to echo the pinks and greens running through the room. Subtle. Romantic. Very much not trying too hard.
The TV is placed slightly to the side, keeping it perfectly in front of the bed for comfortable viewing, while allowing the niche to shine as its own feature rather than competing with a black rectangle for attention. Best of both worlds. Design + practicality = handshake.

And that brings us to the end of this little wander through the Guest Room of Vrindavan 🤍
Every corner here was designed with the same quiet intention:
nothing too perfect.
nothing too loud.
nothing that forgets it’s a home.
From reused furniture with new stories, to wallpapers that feel like inherited heirlooms, to soft colours that whisper instead of shout, this room is all about warmth, familiarity and gentle beauty.
