Welcome to the common bathroom of Sukoon. We treated this compact bath like any other room in the home—with care, texture, and intention.
From the layered lighting to the custom vanity and those stunning patterned tiles—every element was chosen to elevate the experience. Step in, slow down, and stay awhile.

Let’s take a closer look at the details that bring this serene space together.
The Layout
Despite its compact size—just under 8′ x 4’6″—the Sukoon bathroom is a masterclass in thoughtful spatial planning. The layout follows a classic linear arrangement: the WC sits directly opposite the door with the vanity on the left and then a walk-in shower area tucked neatly on the right side.

But there’s a clever twist: a discreet door at the back of the shower leads directly into the utility space, where the washing machine is housed. This not only streamlines laundry access but keeps it hidden from view, preserving the bathroom’s clean, serene aesthetic.
Efficient, elegant, and full of quiet surprises—just how we like it.
The Bathroom of Sukoon
We designed the bathroom of Sukoon as a warm, grounded corner with an earthy palette and elegant materials.
The Vanity
Tucked into one end of this compact bathroom, the vanity is where the space truly comes alive. The ceramic basin looks like it is carved from natural stone. Its sculptural shape and matte finish play beautifully against the clean lines of the wood-finished counter. A full-height mirror amplifies the sense of space while reflecting the soft, dappled glow of the pendant lights. The pair of glass orbs hangs like little jewels, elevating the mood and adding just the right amount of sparkle.
A floating vanity unit ensures the floor remains visible, keeping the compact space from feeling crowded. Built-in storage below keeps essentials tucked away, while the brass tap and accessories lend just a hint of old-world charm.

It’s not just a place to wash up — it’s where texture, light, and form come together to create a little ritual of calm each day.
The Shower Area
In a compact bathroom, the shower zone has the power to be either purely functional or quietly poetic — and we always aim for the latter.
Here, we brought in visual rhythm by thoughtfully layering two tile styles. The floor features a bold grid of deep wood and terracotta tiles, bordered by wood-look strips. These same tiles reappear on the shower wall — but with a twist. We stripped away the side borders and retained only the top and bottom framing, transforming the wall into a seamless vertical panel that feels anchored yet airy. This clever repeat not only ties the space together but draws the eye upward, lending height to the narrow layout.
Above this grounding base, the green patterned tiles wrap the walls in a soft geometry, adding warmth and charm without overwhelming the small footprint.

Brass hardware punctuates the palette with a gentle gleam — from the rain shower to the handheld, every detail is both purposeful and beautiful. And the clear glass partition ensures that visual continuity and natural light remain uninterrupted, making the entire bathroom feel more expansive.
Compact, calm, and character-rich — this is a shower that gets the job done and looks good doing it.
Before and After
Before: In the original layout, the shower area occupied the wall directly opposite the entrance. This left a small vanity tucked away to the side, completely underutilizing the space.

After: In the remodel, we flipped the script. The vanity now sits proudly front and center, immediately visible as you enter, anchored by a gorgeous mirror wall and pendant lighting. The shower area, now shifted to the far end, feels more enclosed and private — perfectly suited for its function.

This simple layout swap created better sightlines, improved natural light bounce, and gave the vanity the statement moment it truly deserved.
Sometimes, the biggest impact lies in the smallest rethinking of space.
That’s a wrap on the Sukoon bathroom.
A compact space reimagined with intention — every inch considered, every element chosen to balance pattern, texture, and functionality. From the custom vanity to the tiled “panel” wall in the shower, it’s a space that feels quietly indulgent yet deeply personal.
Design, after all, isn’t about making things look different. It’s about making them feel right.
