It’s roundup time again, and today I’m sharing all the little things that go into making a space ‘complete’ and a home beautiful. Welcome to the Accessories Roundup 2024.
Accessories Roundup 2024
Though we do have a few large items on this list, like mirrors and clocks, most of the ‘little’ things here are truly little. A knob here, a handle there, a planter in that corner, a vase in another… you can easily miss noticing these when you walk into a room. But all of these add up to build the vibe of the space.. the ‘wow’ factor as you step inside.
Today we’ll narrow down our focus onto these little things, and I’ll also share with you where I source all of these from. Let’s begin..
Mirrors
Let’s start with the largest pieces on our accessories roundup 2024, the mirrors. I usually like to use them in extra large sizes to create high impact and greater depth. Here are some of the beautiful mirrors we’ve used in our recent homes.
Bet Wind Mirror
All the furniture and accessories in this home have a simple, mid-century vibe. I picked this mirror because it’s rich and ‘dressy’ while keeping the simplicity. I love the gently scalloped frame and the soft champagne colour.

Metal Venison Mirror
This is a large foyer area with a lot of beautiful wood work with brass accents. The brass mirror frame brings all the brass work to life and adds a subtle glamour to the space.

Spideo Haux Mirror
Black or brass? I debated the finish of this mirror for quite a while in my head, before finally settling on brass, which I think was a great decision. I love how it syncs with the gold sideboard and wall lights and stands out against the black stripes of the wallpaper.

Wall Decor
The floor space of our homes gets easily filled up with all our furniture. It takes care of all the daily requirements we have from our homes.
It’s the walls which tell our stories and make the home truly ours. The artwork you’ve selected, the photographs you share and the collectibles you’ve gathered over the years. These speak of our likes, experiences and memories and what makes us who we are.
Here are some of pretty pieces we selected with our clients.
Gold Spiral Clock
This living room has an elegant, understated, mid-century vibe. Most of it is in a beautiful wood finish with a few brass accents sprinkled around. The clock goes beautifully with all the brassware and adds a tiny bit of bling to the space.

Brass Finish Traditional Clock
We have a stunning tree of life mural in madhubani art style on the wall adjacent to this one. We didn’t want to leave this large wall completely empty, yet didn’t want to put any artwork that would clash with the mural. This traditional brass clock was the perfect solution.

Gold Iron Clock
This living room is decorated in light colours and natural finishes and the clock is an easy addition. This is simple, stylish clock that will easily fit into any space.

Sleek Black & Gold Clock
You can see the black and gold finishes we have running from the foyer on to this television wall. This black and gold clock is a perfect fit in this space.

Macrame Wall Hanging
This delicate macrame wall-hanging is our quick fix to hiding the main electrical box of the home. It not only looks pretty but can easily be taken off to access the box when required.

Raw Silk Wall Art
We needed a horizontal painting for the wall above this bed, but the client already had the beautifully Madhubani art that you see in the centre. The colours and style go so perfectly with the selections in the room that it looks like it’s been made for this space. But the Madhubani is vertical.
So we added these embroidered panels on either side. Even though all three pieces of art are vertical, the overall effect of the three of them together is horizontal and aligns well with the space.

Table Top Decor
My forever favourite decor accessories are plants. Whether they are tall ones going from floor to ceiling, or little ones adorning a small shelf, they quite literally breathe life into any space. Here are a few planters we used to hold them.
Ripple Brass Planter
As you can see even in this vignette, that we used a lot of brass accents in this home to go with all the beautiful woodwork. This brass planter fits right in.

Dual Curve Planter
This is the living area of the same home you saw above… and so we continued to add brass accents with this pair of planters too. You can see one on either end of the sofa.
Planters on stands can be very useful in many ways. For one, they make regular, medium sized plants look like tall plants. You can always remove them from the stands and also use them as table planters. For example, the planter in the window corner has been removed from the stand and sits on the end table. They also make great decor accents!

White Stripe Texture Planter
This is a set of three ceramic planters… and I love how the black and white stripes fit in with stunning wallpaper here.

Ceramic Striped Planter
This is a set of two planters. You can see one on the end table to the left of the sofa and the other on the coffee table. As you can see, a monochromatic planter is easy to fit into any space, no matter what the colour!

Artificial Mini Rose
Yes, you’ve seen these before and you see them yet again. What I really like about these pretty white flowers is their adaptability. I have styled with these across the many different homes I have designed.
No matter which room or what style it is designed in, they always look beautiful.
So here I am, listing them once again in the Accessories Roundup 2024.

Hardware
And finally, we reach the last section of the accessories roundup 2024. Handles and knobs.. how important can they be?
Well, unless it’s a large, obvious design statement, a handle or a knob is not the first thing you notice as you walk into a room. It’s more like the invisible accent which may not make a statement by itself, but helps the add to the vibe of the room as a whole.
You can’t have beautiful furniture with ugly hardware. So here are some of the beautiful pieces we’ve used.
Karna Knob
A small delicate piece with an intricate motif on it, this lovely brass knob ups the beauty of this shoe cabinet.

Tora Arc Handle
This one is an example of a larger handle that makes a statement of its own. The shoe unit here is quite long and completely plain in terms of design. These handles are the main design element on the unit and bring it to life.

Jiro T-Knob
With the open shelf and twin drawers, this side table needed only a small, well finished knob to complete it. Simplicity is the key for this one.

Elm Handle
These wardrobes are finished in a stunning fluted veneer. We picked these simple handles to blend in and allow the veneer to be the hero.

Oblivion Handle
Because of its small size, we’ve used light furniture and furnishings across this room. We used black accents, including these wardrobe handles, to add some spunk to the space.

Oriental Handle
This wardrobe is absolutely plain with only a beautiful veneer on it. We chose this long, sleek, black handle to glam it up.

Flower Vintage Wall Hook
If you look carefully, you’ll see a brass hook placed below the door bell here. Though a small addition, the hook is very useful to hang a milk or newspaper bag for delivery.

With that long list of hardware, we roundup our Accessories Roundup 2024.
When designing a space, the bigger pieces are more obvious and we tend to focus our entire effort and energy on these. The little things are easily ignored.
An ugly sofa becomes an eyesore immediately. An ugly handle can get missed. But if you walk into a room with ugly handles, dull artwork, mismatched cushions and missing planters, it won’t move you, no matter how beautiful the sofa.
So I hope this post helps make some of these little selections easier for you. Remember to bookmark this and go through all our roundups for all our sources for almost anything you’ll need to design your home.
Meanwhile, I’ll be back with more of ‘Daastan‘ for you next week. I’m not even halfway through sharing this gorgeous home with you.. so come back soon!
Until then,
.
