Today I bring to you our Accessories Roundup 2023. From handles and knobs to mirrors and wall decor, we use a lot of accessories to make our spaces warm, inviting and complete…or shall I say, to make a house a home.
Accessories Roundup 2023
It’s always all about the details. You walk into a room and see the beautiful furniture and might not notice the small vase lying on the side table. You pour yourself some wine from a stunning bar unit and without really noticing the tiny knobs on the drawers. We usually get taken in by the splendour of the bigger picture, without seeing the little things that went into making it.
But the picture would never be as big or as beautiful without all the accessories that complete it.
So here today, is the Accessories Roundup 2023… an ode to all the little big things we have used to make our spaces extra special.
Mirrors
Let’s begin the Accessories Roundup 2023 with mirrors, because they are one of my favourite wall accessories. They are most obviously used in dressing areas and bathrooms. I also love using them to increase the visual depth of a space, or simply as beautiful wall decor.
Butterfly Wall Mirror
Delicate and organic, this brass mirror is just the right accomplice to all the delightful prints, patterns, embroideries and carvings that make up this exquisite living room.

Round Lines Mirror
Notice how the black octogonal mirror lines and triangles are in sync with the black octogonal lines and triangles of the pendant light? Both enhance each other to make this foyer come alive.

Net-X Mirror
Here is another pair of wall mirror and pendant light that look like they were made for each other, though we’ve purchased them from completely different sources. This spectacular piece would make any space look that much richer and grander.

Capsule Mirror
Quite the opposite from the one above, the pair of capsule mirrors in a simple, clean, oval shape help add depth to this tiny space. They fade into the background themselves, allowing the lovely patterns around them to shine.

Gold Mosaic Mirror
The sparkling gold of the small mosaic pieces add a young, glamourous vibe to this teen girl bathroom.

Wall Decor
The floor space in our homes is occupied by everything useful and functional. We use the walls to write our stories and make our home truly ours. So next on our Accessories Roundup 2023, we have wall decor that helped us craft many beautiful tales.
Carved Pooja Frame
This intricately carved wall frame with another carved wooden shelf placed in the centre made our stunning pooja in this home.

Brass Leaves
You must have realised by now how much I love organic elements in my decor. These leaves go beautifully well with the floral painting on the headboard, to complete this space.

Daisy Flower Metal Wall Art
The metal flowers add an element of nature to a living room otherwise dominated with textures and geometric patterns.

Carved Jharokha
It started off as an idea to frame the window behind the dining table. We went on to use multiple jharokhas all along the walls of the dining area to create this scintillating space.

Framed Planter Stand
We have used three elements to add colour to this largely monochromatic balcony. The mosaic coffee table, the multicoloured planter stand frames on the wall, and of course, the natural flowers!

Dog Hooks & Wall Frames
The wall decor in this little boy’s room is simple and easy to change as he grows up and changes his preferences. The wall frames are a neutral design that can work well with any design changes in this room, or even in any other room in the home. The dog wall hooks are not only oh-so cute, but a great way for him to keep his bags, bottles, charts and accessories organised and within reach.

Table Top Decor
Artificial Mini Rose
You’ve definitely seen this pretty white flower in more than one of my pics from more than one of our gorgeous homes. They are so easy to style in any kind of vase and are my go-to no matter what the style of the home.

Dried Flower Arrangement
I also used the white flower above in this arrangement, along with dried palm leaves and pampas grass. You can find this simple DIY here.

Pink Marbled Candle
Candles are another decor accessory that are so much more than just pretty additions to your table tops. There’s nothing that makes a space intimate quite as well as the aroma and dancing light of a candle.

Pink Mosaic Vase
With its pink and gold mosaic which melds so perfectly into this living room, this vase has been one of my favourite decor finds in recent times.

Grey Leaf
A wooden leaf finished in a distressed paint… once again it’s the organic imperfection of this piece that adds the warmth to all the perfect geometrics all around it.

Hardware
Knobs, handles and hooks.. here are all the little things that we cannot do without, but go so easily unnoticed.

Green Wooden Knob
The lovely green and white pattern on these knobs is just right for the green cabinets. The round shape also means that they are completely safe from sharp edges that might hurt our toddler.

Wooden Wardrobe Handles
We used simple, straight wooden handles on the wardrobe shutters with matching knobs on the drawers below, to go with the wood grain on the lower part of the wardrobes.

Black wardrobe handles
Since we used a lot of wood in this bedroom, we used black handles to break the monotony on these wardrobes.
We also used the same handles on this cabinet. The idea again, was to have the black stand out against the wood. The gold clasps are a nice touch.

Black and Gold Knobs
We used similar knobs on this TV unit. The black and gold goes perfectly with the black carcass and brass strip of this unit.

.
That’s quite a list of accessories we have in here. In a lot of the picture above, I’m sure you didn’t notice the decor accessory I was talking about until I pointed it out. And yet, each of these add to the spaces they belong to in their own little way.
Interior design is all about the little things that come together to make the big picture beautiful. I hope this post will help you add your own little things to the story of your home.
Exciting times ahead as I have a new project reveal coming up next week. Sign up here if you haven’t already so you don’t miss any of this beautiful home.
Until then,
