Though I have regularly been posting roundups of furniture pieces we have used and loved, I haven’t done a roundup of decor accessories yet. I get questions about a mirror, a vase, a planter… so many little things we use in our projects, ever so often. I thought it would be a great idea to put all of these together in a post too, and share the sources with you. So here they are, all the beautiful decor accessories we’ve used over the last year, in our accessories roundup 2022.
Accessories Roundup 2022
Mirrors, planters, clocks, vases, wall decor accents.. so many little things go into making a house feel like a home. It’s these accessories that speak of the home owners’ tastes, travels, experiences and truly make the house their home, with a vibe different from any other.
We like to use a lot of what the clients own and have collected over the years, because that’s what tells their story. And then we help them select more pieces and add on to their collection wherever required.
So let’s get started with our favourites from last year.
One of the most commonly used decor accessories in almost every project is mirrors. Though sometimes we have this custom made as per our requirement, we often find beautiful pieces that we buy as is.
R-Squire Brass Mirror
This simple, geometric mirror with it’s rich brass finish fits in just perfectly on our mid-century modern entry console.

Solar Flare Mirror
This one is another favourite. The metal wires give the effect of black and white stripes, which goes so beautifully with the black and white bone inlay pattern on the sideboard and the frosted glass shutter right next to it.

Wood Carved Mirror
A stark contrast from the two mirrors above, this intricately carved mirror in bright, distressed paint helps to add a splash of colour to this vibrant space.

Klimt Mirror
This beauty instantly reminded me of layers of petals of a flower and so was just the right addition to this nature inspired living room.

Asira Trunk
I have always thought that a trunk is an immensely useful, multi-functional accessory to add to any space. It works as a table, as seating, for storage, and also as a decor accessory for beautification when it is as gorgeous as this.

Though I primarily use artwork for wall decor across most spaces, it’s sometimes nice to mix things up by using different wall decor accessories. Here are a few of those, in our accessories roundup 2022.
Macrame Wall Hanging
This delicate macrame wall hanging, for instance, makes this soft pastel bedroom look even softer and dreamier.

Tabletop Planters
Since we are talking about planters, we shouldn’t forget the little ones. These small ones from Ikea are very handy to place on shelves, desks, table tops and sad, empty corners.

Artificial White Flowers
Here’s another favourite, which helps to brighten up dark corners. I especially like to use these stems in dark spaces where a real plant will not thrive because of insufficient light.

Glass Lantern
You can see how we’ve used the same white flowers to style these shelves below. Also notice the glass lantern? Candles are yet another decor accessory you can’t go wrong with or have too many of.

That’s quite a collection we have here in our accessories roundup 2022. Though by no means is it all the pieces we’ve used over the last year, these are a few that we loved and are also still available.
I hope you’ll find this collection useful. And if you do pick up any of these, remember to send me pics of how you styled them in your space.
